SOTD #1: "Songs of the Day"

This is something I want to try because I've never really seen it before, and music is just as important to me as fashion or makeup.

I'm not really sure how I want to do this yet. I might change the format of this later depending on what I find to be the best way to handle it. Suggestions are definitely appreciated.

I spent a lot of my day listening to music, so I thought I'd share some of the songs I've been digging recently and talk about each one a little bit.

1. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons

If you haven't heard this song, you probably live in a cave. Seriously, I hear this song everywhere, and it's been one of my favorite songs for months now. I never get tired of it. The lyrics are deep and meaningful, the instrumentals are great, and it's just overall a good song. I really like Imagine Dragons as a band. I may review their entire album at some point because I do like all their music, not just this one song.

Anyway, if you are completely out of the loop and have never heard of Imagine Dragons or this song, you'd better listen to it. It is great. Actually, it's so great that I'm going to link you.

2. Ungrateful by Escape the Fate

Ohhhkay. In the tragic case that you didn't like the previous song, I'll give you something heavier and less mainstream. But let's be honest, if you don't like Imagine Dragons, you are crazy.

Just kidding. Kind of.

I digress. Escape the Fate is a band I have loved for years. I liked their music better when they had their original singer, who is now in a band called Falling in Reverse, but I really, really like Escape the Fate's new stuff as well. This is just a taste of post-hardcore music, in case you have no idea what that is.

If you like the song, go check out the music video as well. It has a very strong message about domestic violence, and it's a lot deeper than other ETF videos that usually have strippers in them.

Well, I hope you enjoyed! I'm super excited to make more of these posts in the future!

Thanks for reading!

- Sam
