My name is Samantha Lee, but most people call me Sam. I am currently a student residing in a rather small, conservative location. Ever since birth, I have enjoyed expressing myself through creative hobbies, namely writing and art. At around the age of 12, I discovered my love for music. It helped me through times in my life when I felt nothing else could help me. Music continues to play an incredibly large role in my life, though I have taken interest in other disciplines.
My interest in fashion developed in more recent years. Up until two years ago, I dressed in band t-shirts, skinnies, and low-top Converse every day. Everyone at my school labeled me as the "weird emo girl" and generally avoided me. However, the thought of being different from the average prep excited me, so my style evolved into an extremely dark, gothy version of its predecessor. After a few months of black lipstick and pentagrams, I decided that style wasn't for me. As more time passed, I developed a better sense of who I was as a person, and the way I dressed reflected that. Now, I feel happy and confident in my wardrobe, but at the same time, my style looks like me. And I love it.
This blog is a creative outlet for me; it allows me to express myself through fashion, while showing the world what I have to offer. I also plan to regularly post about the music I'm listening to, because I think the kind of music a person likes reveals a lot about his or her personality. I want to connect with my readers in a way that won't compromise my privacy, and music is the perfect way to do that.
